License Key
Activate, check and move your Shaped Gallery Pro license.
Shaped Gallery → Settings → License Key. Until a license is activated, galleries render on the front end for administrators only.
Activating
- Copy your key from your ShapedPlugin account dashboard.
- Paste it into Enter Your License Key.
- Press Activate License.
On success the form is replaced by a details card:

An expired license never blanks your site
Output treats valid and expired the same. A lapsed renewal is a billing state, not a licence violation — taking a paying customer's live pages down over it would be a refund, not a renewal.
When activation is refused
The panel reports the store's own reason rather than a generic failure, because the two lead to very different fixes: "that key doesn't exist" means check what you pasted, while "not active for this URL" means free a seat.
A refusal never overwrites a working key. If you paste a typo over a license that's currently active, the typo is rejected and your working license stays in place.
A network failure changes nothing. If the store is unreachable, your stored license is left exactly as it was — a blip can't deactivate a working site.
Moving to another site
- On the old site, press Deactivate License. That frees the seat.
- On the new site, activate as above.
Lost access to the old site? Deactivate it from your account dashboard instead.
Updates
Once the license is active, Shaped Gallery Pro appears under Dashboard → Updates like any other plugin. The free plugin updates from WordPress.org independently — keep the two roughly in step.
Things worth knowing
Your raw key never reaches the browser. The admin screen only ever receives the masked version. That's also why Renew License goes to your plain account page rather than a pre-filled checkout link carrying the key in the URL.
The key is stored separately from the rest of your settings, and can only be written through the license flow. The settings screen has no path to it.
The editor is never gated. You can keep building galleries while a key is being sorted out; only front-end output for visitors is affected.
