WPBakery
Add a saved gallery to any WPBakery page with the Shaped Gallery element.
You can do this in 3 steps
- Switch on the WPBakery integrationIt ships off — turn it on first.
- Build a saved galleryThe element picks from your saved galleries.
- Add the element and pick itAdd Element → Shaped Gallery.
Step 1: Switch on the integration
- Shaped Gallery → Settings → Integrations.
- Switch on WPBakery.
- Save Changes.
Step 2: Build a saved gallery
- Shaped Gallery → Add New Gallery.
- Pick a layout, add media, configure it. Quick Start →
- Give it a descriptive title.
- Publish.
Step 3: Add the element
- Edit a page with WPBakery (backend or frontend editor).
- Click + Add Element.
- Find Shaped Gallery — it has its own Shaped Gallery category in the element picker, and its description reads Display a saved Shaped Gallery.
- In the element's settings, open Select Gallery and choose yours.
- Save, then Update the page.
Styling it
The element has one setting: which gallery. Everything else lives on the gallery itself — edit it under Shaped Gallery → Saved Galleries.
WPBakery's own row and column settings still apply to the element's surroundings.
Things worth knowing
It renders through the shortcode, so the output is byte-identical to the same gallery placed as a block.
The gallery list is built on every request WPBakery is active for, because WPBakery can only declare a control's options at registration time. It's gated on being able to edit posts, so an anonymous visitor's request never carries your gallery titles.
The dropdown is capped at 300 galleries. Past that, use WPBakery's Text Block or Raw HTML element with [shaped_gallery id="42"].
Troubleshooting
The element isn't in the picker. Switch the integration on and save, then reload the page editor — WPBakery caches its element map.
The dropdown is empty. You have no saved galleries yet.
The backend editor shows a grey box. That's WPBakery's placeholder for a shortcode-backed element. Use the frontend editor or preview the page to see the gallery.
Nothing on the front end. Check the gallery isn't a draft, trashed, Private or Password-protected, and that your license is active.
