Six switchable features. On means the code ships; off means it doesn't.

Shaped Gallery → Settings → Modules is a grid of six cards. Each has a switch, a Docs button, and — for two of them — a gear that opens a settings drawer.

All six ship enabled. Switching one off is opting out.

What "off" actually means

This is the part worth understanding, because it's stronger than most plugins' feature toggles.

Off removes the feature, it doesn't disable it. Switching off Lightbox doesn't leave the viewer in place ignoring clicks — the badge, its CSS, the viewer bundle and the JavaScript binding are all gone from the page. Switching off Ready Patterns doesn't just hide the button; the outbound request to fetch the pattern catalogue is never made.

Off hides the controls it makes meaningless. Switch off Watermark and the per-gallery Image Watermark toggle disappears from the inspector — not greyed out, gone. Same for Image Custom URL's field and the URL button, and for Lightbox's entries in Click Action Type.

The reasoning: a module is what decides whether a per-gallery setting means anything at all. Showing its control while the module is off isn't a lesser version of the feature — it's a control for a feature that doesn't currently exist.

Off never rewrites your galleries. Every stored value is left exactly as it is. Switch a module back on and each gallery is precisely as you left it.

Off fails safe. A gallery that depended on a module degrades rather than breaking: with Lightbox off, a lightbox tile stays a link to the full-size image — the same thing a visitor without JavaScript already gets.

The two with settings

Lightbox — the icon (which glyph, its style, position and offset) and the viewer itself (theme, transitions, slider behaviour, caption, title, counter, toolbar buttons, right-click protection).

Watermark — the mark (image or text), its size, colour, display style, repeat, position, offset and transparency, plus Purge Watermark Cache.

The other four gears are inert. Those modules have nothing to configure — they're a single on/off decision.

Using the drawers

Click a gear and a drawer opens over the screen.

Behaviour	Detail
Save Changes	Writes the module's settings and stays open, so a failed save keeps your work on screen and you can carry on editing.
Reset Changes	Discards unsaved edits.
Closing	The close button, Escape, or clicking the backdrop.

Success confirms itself briefly and clears; an error stays until you act on it.

Rows disappear when they stop applying

Set the Watermark type to Text and the image-only rows vanish; switch Repeat Watermark on and Watermark Position vanishes.

Nothing is erased — the values are kept and come straight back. The panel only shows controls that currently mean something.

Should I switch anything off?

Most sites shouldn't. The plugin already only loads what a page needs, so leaving a module on costs almost nothing if you never use it.

The cases where it's worth it:

Switch off	When
Ready Patterns	Your policy forbids third-party requests, or you never want the button in the editor.
Lightbox	You use another lightbox plugin, or none of your galleries open one.
Watermark	You'll never watermark, and want the per-gallery toggle out of the inspector.
Lazy Load	Rarely — see Lazy Load for the honest cases.
